Access Specialists
Tough access is what we do, we can deploy wide range of access equipment to suit every challenge. Always using the Safest Method as our first choice.
All staff are Work at Height and EWP (Cherry Picker/ Elevating Work Platform) Trained.
Hedges up to 5m are trimmed using Orchard Ladders and Long Reach Equipment
Hedges over 5m we use either Scaffold Towers or EWP’s depending on access arrangements
Our “go-to” brand is Stihl using their professional series of hedge cutters, chainsaws and support equipment, we now use battery powered equipment, which are safer and quieter
AREAS COVERED
We will work anywhere, but hedges more than 50 km from our base will incur travel costs.
Our per km rate is A$1.00 per km, first 50km are free
For work in Regional Victoria, Overnight Accommodation Costs incurred will be charged on a Cost + 10% basis

“We were struggling to find a contractor to cut and shape our 6m high hedges, one of my colleagues recommended Elevated Hedges, they came an inspected the hedges, we agreed a price, two days later they arrived, with the battery powered cherry picker, really cool piece of kit, this made easy work of the access, they asked if we required any particular style of cut, bit like going to the barbers, flat top, bit longer on the sides. How Much….
For hedges up to 5m high with ladder or scaffold tower access the standard charge is A$5.00 per metre/per side
Example: If your hedge is about 4.5m high and 30m long and you require both sides cut, the price will be A$300.00
For hedges over 5m high please send photo or video with approximate dimensions and we will be pleased to provide a fixed price
We will also be pleased to visit your property to discuss any particularly challenging contracts
Cuttings Removal
Moved to Grounds/Garden Compost, or
We will be pleased to remove cuttings, when possible cuttings mats are laid down to assist with collection and removal of cuttings.
Cuttings are disposed at licensed Transfer Stations and incur Green Waste charges
Cuttings Disposal Fees are Charged at Cost +10% Handling Fee

Best Time to Trim your Hedge
You can trim hedges in Victoria all year round, however you should avoid trimming in very hot weather, as heat can damage the new foliage, you should also avoid very wet weather as humidity will prevent cuts from healing properly.
For Murraya hedges light trimming can be done all year, this is recommended as they are a fast growing plant, the best time for a harder prune is late winter or early spring during their dormant season, this will help to avoid stress and disease
For Buxus (Boxwood) hedges its best to avoid heavy pruning in spring, to allow the new growth to harden off before you cut them.
The dormant season is the time when the plant has stopped growing and has less sap flow, making it less susceptible to disease and pests. It also allows for easy identification of dead or damaged wood, which can be removed before the new growth begins.
